Sophia N. Sam

Sophia joined Merrick Brock in March 2020. For 25 years, she has supported attorneys from Fortune 500 law firms to sole practitioners. She has worked on cases in state and federal courts, specializing in personal injury matters involving automobile and trucking accidents, premises liability (slip and fall), medical malpractice, wrongful death, product liability, asbestos, lead poisoning, MDL, and mass torts. Sophia brings extensive experience in all phases of litigation, and her knowledge of both plaintiff and defense strategies helps the firm provide exceptional service to clients.

Sophia is proud to work with attorney Les Brock in a unique team-based approach to pursue the best results for clients. Sophia is highly involved in every aspect of a case, from initial consultation to trial. Her responsibilities include client and attorney communications, investigative tasks, file management, drafting legal documents, electronic court filings, research, and trial preparation.

Her motivation and passion come from helping those whose lives have been severely affected by a traumatic event. She guides clients through the legal process so they can focus on healing.

Outside the office, Sophia works on Pinterest projects with her husband, chases a toddler, mediates teenage drama, and enjoys being knee-deep in the garden.
